Home movers should start the process at Christmas

The Christmas period may be an ideal time for home movers, according to Your Move.

Although the majority of people do not want to think about moving house during the festive period, the firm says that now can be a good time to start preparing for a move.

It points out that homeowners should use the Christmas period to prepare their house for sale and do some research on the market.

Home movers have been told to look at how much similar properties are selling for in order to get an idea of how much they can expect to pay or receive for their house.

In addition, Your Move believes that the Christmas holidays are a good time to visit a local area and see what the schools and transport links are like ahead of a move.

Finally, anyone selling a house in England and Wales now needs a Home information pack (Hip) and Your Move said that it is advisable to order one in advance so that it is available when the sale goes through.ADNFCR-1116-ID-18397587-ADNFCR
